Ahhhh...Saturday!

Daisy

I love Saturday! Today is a strange Saturday...the construction workers are here working on the basement so it is a little weird to try and get something done. I do not do very well with a lot of change in my personal life...thus I am still getting used to living in Ohio and I have been here for almost 5 years!

So now that all of my scrapping stuff is in my closet and not out I am finding it a little harder to get it out and use it. I am off to IKEA to see if I can get a table that will go in my office that I can use.

Hope that you are having a great Saturday...and you are staying bundled up!

Page Flourish Cutter File

Page Flourish

Here is the first file for 2009...and I know that it is 19 days late....but that is ok! I am back in the groove. This is a page flourish that you can use under a layout or you can make it smaller.

Have a great Martin Luther King Day! Hopefully you are off and can scrap all day!

How Full is your bucket?

So the theme for my team this year is "How full is your bucket" a great book by Tom Roth. I had my meeting yesterday and made each center a bucket filled with goodies for the teachers in the centers. I am really excited about the theme and what we are going to do with it this year. If you haven't read this book I would highly recommend it!

I have worked on several files as well and I get to do some test cuts tonight and I will be posting some new ones.

Hope you have had a great hump day!

The end of the scrap dungeon!

So I have successfully moved all of my scrapbooking back upstairs to make room for the "media room" I will have to take a picture of my closet...I went to home depot last weekend and purchased and installed shelves with the help of my husband. Although I did take out all of the old shelves out. My closet is very packed and as you all remember I donated a ton of paper to a childcare center...clearly did not donate enough stuff.
My goal is to use up what I have on hand...which is a lot! I used to get the kits from Club Scrap because I loved their paper and goodies...here is the problem...I have never used them! So finally I cancelled my membership...not because it is not wonderful...I just found it really hard to use. Anyone else with that problem?
So, I am tired after many days of cleaning and purging and I am looking forward to my daughter's first level 8 meet tomorrow. She is very nervous but that is good for her. She had a fantastic year last year...it will be tougher this year and I think that she is going to struggle going up a level. But it will be good for her- a challenge is always good.
Have a great Sunday!

I LOVE NEW YEARS DAY!!!

I have my own New Years tradition...I take down all of the Christmas decorations and clean like a wild woman! This is the first year in 13 years that my husband doesn't have to leave Jan. 2 for a 10 day sales meeting. Yes...that is right every year for the last 13 years he has spent his new years day packing and I have spent the day packing so that anything that I needed his help with would be complete before he hopped on a plane for unknown destinations...mostly Florida. But this year to help control expenses his company canceled the January meeting.
So this year I went through all of my Christmas decorations (like only a compulsive organizer can do) and tossed any that were in need of visiting the dumpster. But as I am sure most of you scrappers know...because organizing is one of our favorite past times, I could not stop and managed to go through all of my kitchen cupboards cleaning and tossing. It is very exhilarating and yet it helps my fear of Clean House showing up on my door step. I love the first of the year because I like cleaning and getting rid of stuff...even though it seems early to be doing spring cleaning it is nice to clean crap out.
One thing I did notice as I was cleaning is that my cupboard of glasses has fewer and fewer glasses...oddly enough I have not broke any or seen any that are lost in other parts of the house. Curious I know! I am beginning to wonder if any of my 5 children have anything to do with this phenomenon.....hmmmmmmm.......
So I hope that you had a fabulous New Year's eve and a great day!
