All ready for Christmas!

So I am happy to say that I haven't blogged in awhile because I was working like crazy on getting ready for Christmas...and I am happy to report that as of Thursday I was done with everything including wrapping! Yes it is true! In the last 20 years I have to say that this is only the second time that this has happened! A lot of that is due to the online shopping! I was able to get everything that I wanted without driving all over town and I only paid delivery for 1 item...how about that? Pretty dang awesome! So now I can enjoy!
Greg and the kids went to St. Louis for the weekend to see the Rams get whopped but they had fun and that is all that matters! I stayed home and choreographed the church Christmas party that actually went very well- even though I almost freaked out about Santa not arriving...but all stress was in vain as Santa did arrive and all was well!
My son has let us know that he will be calling at 3:00 eastern time on Christmas Day and I am very excited about this! It will be Mothers Day before I get to speak to him again! So I sent off his package of 3 new ties and some goodies and of course his Christmas Eve PJ's (that he will want to kill me over) It was weird trying to find him a gift while he is serving a mission there are very few things that he can have.
So I got to scrap a little last week and I made some cards- and how fun are the ones on top? They are from Chris's 4th quarter files- She is now signing up for first quarter and if you are not already a member I would highly recommend it! For the 10 dollars that you pay you get quite a deal. Her files are amazing and really easy to use- I have a wishblade and a Klic-n-Kut and they work well on both...although honestly I struggle with my KNK...but mostly because I am a complete dork. The card below turned out totally cute- I used spray ink for the background and the put the cuts on. I then used glitter and applied it with a brush to the willows. I was very excited that it turned out so cute.
Well I hope that you are as ready for Christmas as I am and that you can enjoy this week!

Merry Christmas

It is that time of the year!

I have come to the conclusion that the list of things to do is never ending! Seriously...how much easier has technology made our lives and yet I swear that I am much busier every day than my mom was on her busiest day! Like all of you my day starts bright and early and I know that I am getting old because it is getting easier and easier to get up early...how embarrassing!

When I was in college I spent the summer in between my first and 2nd year living with my grandparents. I loved my grandparents so much...in fact I would say that they were more like my parents from that time forward. My grandmother a staunch democrat was very funny although I will tell you that she certainly did not try to be! But she would crack me up- she would always say "whatever...whatever Wendy" The original whatever girl! But the funniest thing about my grandparents is the fact that they would get up at 5 am every morning...and they were completely retired with not a care in the world. I would always say to my boyfriend at the time (now husband) that when I got old I would be sleeping in and kicking back enjoying being old. And yet strangely I find myself waking up earlier and earlier....even on Saturday my official sleep in day I am getting up early...yuck! So I am anticipating that I will be waking up at 5 am by the time that I am 60 every day. Of course hopefully by then I will be living in Hawaii and running around in a Moo-Moo with long gray hair and so many face lifts that the natives will think that I am Joan Rivers!

Soooo...I am nearly done with Christmas preparation and in fact I have even wrapped half of the Santa gifts already! How about that? I still need to finish the package for my missionary son...that is on the top of my list for tomorrow.
So know back to why I have a to do list...I have decided that my theme for next year is "Enjoy" there will always be things to do...laundry to do, a house to clean....but I need to relax and enjoy life more. I am always focused on what I need to get done...and I often times let the fun things pass me by.
So as we prepare for a new year...what are you going to focus on? I think the word focus and enjoy contradict each other!
Have a great Wednesday!

You've got to check this out!

So if you are a fan of Tim Holtz then you need to check out his blog! He has started his 2nd annual 12 tags of Christmas! I am not a big tag maker but the applications that he has are amazing and he does an amazing job of explaining and showing! I love blogs that you can learn from and his is one of them!
Hope that you have a fantastic Monday! I love Monday!! It is always nice to start off the week!
Today I did one of the dorkiest things- there I was conquering e-mail and intently giving direction to my team. I was siting on my leg and after about 2 hours I needed another Diet Coke and a restroom break...I stood up and my leg was without feeling and yes it is true...I somehow put all my pressure on my foot that flip upside down! I heard a pop and I fell to the ground! I layed there and laughed...because really? Could I be a bigger dork? No...I do not think so! I grabbed my blackberry to email my husband and tell him that I was laying on the ground...he thinks I am a goofball (I tend to agree) So after my leg "woke up" I was able to get up...and I have been wobbling around all day. I probably popped something but could that be more embarrassing to tell a Dr. how I hurt my foot?
Hope you had a very Cybor Monday!
